The third-annual Hackney Wicked Festival concluded their three-day event today by burning an 8-foot tall, wooden chicken created by artist Adam Beale.
The event celebrates the vast arts community in East London, in a former industrial area along two canals. Hackney Wick sits immediately adjacent to the Olympic Village (left), now rising in the Stratford district of the city.In the video above, Beale brings the chicken into the main festival area after transporting it from the nearby crate factory where he built it. He previously posed for a photo (below) at the factory with the chicken and members of the London Bridged staff.
